FAQs
Got questions? We’ve got the answers.
What’s your story?
It all started in 2013 when the Jouault family, who’s been producing quality French cheeses for over two generations, discovered that the father was intolerant to milk. They developed a range of plant-based alternatives that everyone in the family could enjoy. Our mission is to bring joy to everyone at the table with delicious plant-based food!

Is your packaging recyclable?
Nurishh Garlic & Herbs Spread packaging is 100% recyclable. The trays for our blocks and slices range are 100% recyclable, and made with already recycled content. The wooden box for the alternative to Camembert will be switched to a recyclable cardboard box in in April 2024. We’re still working on finding a more sustainable option for our grated range, as flexible plastic is not currently recyclable in the UK.
Why do you use coconut oil? Where is it sourced?
Coconut oil contributes to the texture and especially the taste of our products. The aftertaste would be much stronger with ingredients like cashew nuts (fermented taste) for example. To date, the coconut oil used in Nurishh products comes from the Philippines, Indonesia and the Marshall Islands. It’s almost non-existent in Western countries, thus making local supply impossible. Bel Group’s partners must systematically take note of our “Code of Good Business Practices” which is based on seven key principles and can be found here. Nurishh Garlic & Herbs Spread has a unique recipe made with sunflower seeds, and no coconut oil. We’re constantly improving our recipes to improve the taste and sustainable profile of our ingredients.
